Pineview is the ideal choice for a lovely break away in the heart of things. Bowness is a sophisticated Lakeland village with lots to explore and enjoy. Stroll to the lake shore to hire a row boat or power boat, or take a cruise on one of the Lake Windermere steamers, which depart regularly to Ambleside and Lakeside; a wonderful way to explore without even using your car. There are several excellent restaurants in Bowness village, within walking distance of Pineview. Jacksons Bistro is a long-standing favourite for stylish dining, while The Porthole or Bodega Sol puts a contemporary twist on the tapas style. There are also plenty of traditional Lakeland pubs, both in the village centre and the surrounding countryside. Windermere Golf Club is just outside Bowness village, on the way to the Lyth Valley. This area is also renowned for gentle but very scenic walking, with a wealth of acclaimed Lake District country pubs to choose from at the end of the day.
