A perfect place to sit and chat, watch the TV or just relax. The family dining room has a large dining table, ideal for social and relaxing together. The stylish fitted kitchen which is beautifully presented and equipped. An ideal space to cook up that hearty breakfast for the day ahead. There are 4 spacious and pretty bedrooms spread over two floors. On the first floor, to the front of the house is a pretty king-size bedroom, with lovely views, original floorboards, and cast-iron fireplace. Across the landing is a bright twin room. These bedrooms are complemented by a luxurious family bathroom with feature rolltop bath, large walk-in shower, twin basins, and WC. There’s also a Velux window above the bath, to be able to star gaze at night. On the second floor is the master king-size bedroom, with smart TV with Sky Q and great views of the countryside. There is also a single room on this floor and they both share a shower room, with basin and WC. Head outside and up some steps there is a large lawned garden and decking with garden furniture, to enjoy the lovely views, and perhaps a morning coffee or a drink on a summers evening. The garden can be accessed step-free from the side of the garden. This area is gated allowing children and dogs to be safe. Through the stable door to the rear of the property is a large utility room, which provides plenty of space for coats and boots and has washing machine, tumble dryer. There is also ample room for storage of mountain bikes and hooks to place your canoes. Situated within the hamlet of Penny Bridge on the fringe of Greenodd Village with a village store and post office, famous Bakehouse Born and Bread bakery, butchers, public house and restaurant, fish & chip shop, village hall, primary school and church. You are also very close to the small hamlet of Lakeside and Newby Bridge, with both the Lakeside and Swan Hotels serving delicious food and drink, together with superb leisure club facilities. There are many public footpaths from the door including to the White Hart pub in Bouth and the Motor Museum/Cafe Ambio at Backbarrow. Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly from Lakeside Pier, ferrying passengers the full length of the lake with stops at Bowness and Ambleside - two popular Lake District holiday destinations that you'll love to explore during your stay. Each has a wide range of shops and attractions, so why not do your shopping trip by boat? Lakeside is home to two fantastic Lake District attractions; the freshwater Lakes Aquarium and one end of the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway from where you can take a short trip on a traditional steam train. Historic sites such as Scott Park Bobbin Mill, Sizergh Castle, Levens Hall and Holker Hall & Gardens are all within easy reach by car, with no need to navigate through busy tourist areas.
