Rowan Retreat is the perfect place to hide away from the world in the utmost comfort. Nestled in the hillside with a river running just below, this is truly a magical setting to spend some time away.

French doors lead you into the well-equipped kitchen area complete with LPG gas oven, hob and fridge. There are all the utensils you need as well as pots, pans and crockery. To the left of the kitchen is the bedroom area with a king-size bed topped with a Vispring mattress, for a very comfortable nights sleep. The oak dining table and chairs can be folded away neatly under the bed when not in use. The hut is incredibly warm with Herdwick wool insulation, and the floor and roof structure are heated with LPG. The Scandinavian style shower room has a shower, wash basin, WC and chrome heated towel rail.
Outside, enjoy a barbecue on the outdoor seating area, or huddle around the firepit and watch the stars.
Shortly there will be a heated external drying cupboard for wet coats and boots for the hut.

A torch is recommended as the gravel driveway leading to the Shepherds Hut is unlit.
