There’s a dining table for 4 which can be extended further for special family meals. You’ll find everything you need in the modern fully equipped kitchen including a Nespresso machine when you need your coffee fix. There’s a separate well kitted out utility room which means laundry and dirty dishes don’t have to clutter your kitchen/ diner space. The living room is comfort personified, combining the best of a traditional holiday home with 21st century comforts - a woodburning stove and a smart TV! Not to mention a 5* Spa for when you fancy a little extra pampering. There’s a great nature trail and playground out the back of the hotel that can keep kids amused for hours. Day or night the Swan is such a short stroll away it gives you the option of food and drink on tap with no washing up, and no designated driver! There is a really well stocked convenience store a 2 minute drive away in Newby Bridge where you can get all your essentials and more (a Costa Express) or there’s a Booths a 15 minute drive away in Ulverston. There’s fantastic walking in this part of the lakes, whether it’s a good fell walk you are after, or a long beach or promenade stroll. Newby Bridge is within a short drive of Cartmel, Bowness on Windermere, Windermere, Ambleside, Kendal, Ulverston and Grange over Sands. Coniston is also very accessible. There are endless gourmet pubs dotted around the area and an abundance of places to eat and drink in any of the towns. There’s even two Michelin Star restaurants nearby. Days out within easy reach include boat trips on Windermere, swinging through tree tops at Go Ape in Grizedale Forest, trying your luck at horse riding at Bigland Hall, or discovering thrilling watersports activities on Coniston Water.
