Explore the largest lake in England by climbing on board the iconic Windermere steamer, offering a circular cruise with stop offs at Ambleside and Lakeside, perfect for quaint day out. If you would rather explore the area on foot, there are plenty of walks from the door with leisurely strolls around the Tarn Hows or up Orrest Head, a hill with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
