Step outside and spend a moment in the enclosed, south-facing garden, complete with a lawn and patio furniture where you can relax whilst your pooch has a roam. Venture off on a scenic walk over the rolling hills and through the open fields, before stopping off at the popular Yew Tree Barn for a nibble at the on-site café. The pretty village of Cartmel is nearby and offers a further range of eateries, including the Michelin star rated L’Enclume restaurant, along with some fabulous attractions such as the UK’s smallest racecourse, hosting popular events throughout the summer. The local Edwardian town of Grange-over-Sands is also well worth a visit, or take off in the other direction to explore the market town of Kendal, filled with culture, intriguing history and a vibrant shopping experience. Close to the southern tip of Lake Windermere, but also close to Morecambe Bay, this cottage is a perfect base for year-round Cumbrian getaway.
