The traditional coastal town of Swanage draws many visitors for good reason. There is a popular sandy beach and a great selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and amusements to try. Backed by rolling hills this location offers the best of both countryside and coast, with many walking routes weaving through the verdant landscape. Nearby attractions include Durlston Country Park, Studland and Corfe Castle, which is home to castle ruins cared for by the National Trust and accessible by steam train from Swanage station.
