Nestled in a rural position close to the picture postcard conservation village of West Linton with its excellent local amenities, the pretty towns of Peebles and Biggar are within easy reach. The city of Edinburgh is also within easy touring distance with its wonderful attractions and world famous yearly festivals, including the Fringe and the Tattoo. The immediate area offers a wealth of outdoor activities including fishing, walking, horse riding, cycling and even skiing with the Pentland Hills and Hillend ski slope within easy reach. Mountain bikers can explore the nearby Glentress Forest, one of the foremost mountain biking venues in the country.
