This old railway carriage is quirky and luxurious; with a beautifully hand crafted bed, en-suite shower room; and within half an hour from North Norfolks' fabulous beaches.
Nestled in the Norfolk countryside, just a few miles from the pretty market town of Aylsham, sits First Carriage, equipped with everything you need for a wonderful weekend away from everyday life. At one end of the carriage is a double bed made up with cotton linen and a sweet little step up if needed. There is plenty of space under the bed to store your bags and belongings. At the other end is the kitchenette where you will find a sink, fridge, convection hob and all the pots, pans and utensils you need. Through the wooden door is the en-suite with a shower, wash basin and WC. The carriage is fully insulated with an electric heater, making it the perfect cosy get away in the winter months.
Outside is a fabulous courtyard area. Here there is plenty of space to sit and enjoy the evening sun with a firepit/barbecue. There is a Hobbit House in the garden which is a BBQ hut. It has seating and a large BBQ with chimney inside, making it perfect for cooking, eating and snuggling by in the cooler months.
If you want to enjoy a weekend away with friends or family, there is another railway carriage, Last Carriage which can be booked in conjunction with First Carriage and also accommodates two guests. If you book both huts there will be a 15% discount on both.

One dog welcome. Small additional charge.
Use of the Hobbit House for 1 night if you are there for a 3 or 4 night break and 2 nights if you are there for a week. This needs to be arranged with the owner on arrival.
A starter pack of logs are provided for the fire pit.
Please note, the garden is currently being landscaped, this is expected to be completed by early June 2021.
