Situated in the market town of Penrith, with its independent shops and restaurants, this comfortable cottage is on edge of the Lake District National Park, just a train ride from Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The cottage is tucked away, just off the main high street where you will find a nice selection of restaurants, independent shops and cafes. If you are keen walkers, head into the Lake District and enjoy a day out rambling the Wainwrights or cycling. There are some great outdoor pursuit centres and stables in the area where you can enjoy a hack or try some water sports. If you are looking for something a bit more unusual then why not walk an alpaca? The local area has so much to offer, but if you do fancy a trip over the border, jump on a train to Glasgow or Edinburgh and enjoy a day out shopping or looking around the museums and art galleries. As you enter the house into the cosy lounge, you will be instantly struck by its character, with sandstone flooring and a roaring wood burner, in front of which you can curl up and enjoy a movie on the Smart TV after a day out exploring. There is a well equipped open plan kitchen which has an electric hob, oven, microwave, washing machine and a small fridge with ice compartment. The ground floor offers you a lovely sociable space, to catch up and plan your days out or discuss the day's events. Head upstairs to the first floor and you will find two bedrooms, a king size and a double; both bedrooms have access to the Jack and Jill style shower room which has a large rainfall shower and WC. There is a small courtyard area to the front of the house where you can sit out on a nice evening. There is lockable storage shed to the front of the property which would be ideal to store bikes, golf clubs or wet walking gear. There is paid parking to the rear of the property; you can pre pay for parking in advance of your stay to receive a discounted rate. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 king size and 1 double. 1 Jack and Jill style shower room with WC. Electric oven and hob, microwave, washing machine and small fridge with ice compartment. Smart TV in the lounge. Wood burner (first basket of logs included). Paid parking available to the rear of the property (you can pre pay for a reduced weekly rate) or free parking 5 minutes away.
