From the Park, you can walk through the fields to the fabulous pub The Queens Head, and round the corner to the Mortal Man. If you like log fires, real ales and great food you’ll be happy! Travel four miles to Windermere and an extra mile to Bowness or travelling the other way you can carry up over the spectacular Kirkstone Pass, and there’s another ancient inn: The Kirkstone. Then drop down and you’ll see Brotherswater – around seven miles from the Park. Continue toward the beautiful Ullswater and the hamlet of Glenridding for more great pubs, shops, Ullswater Steamers and amazing walks. A wonderful location for you and your family.
