A beautiful 15th Century character cottage property set on a rural road between the villages of Croyde and Georgeham, both offering excellent places to eat and drink. Croyde, well known for its surfing beach has everything a village could offer, from cafes for breakfast to pubs serving delicious evening meals and an ice cream parlour. Set on a private road, the cottage has been lovingly restored but retains much of its original character including very low thresholds and steep staircases, so wouldn't be suitable for very young children or the infirm. Although it does have a ground floor bedroom and bathroom, there are still small steps to and from each room. There are three bedrooms on the first floor, the Twin room has a large ensuite shower room built in wardrobe and sloping ceilings. The two king rooms are adjoining, however there is a lockable door inbetween and the second King has its own private staircase. On the ground floor there is a cosy living room, seperate dining room, kitchen with utility area and family bathroom. Outside there is a covered area off the kitchen, ideal for an alfresco breakfast and further up the lane is a private patio area with picnic bench and car port for 3 cars. With access to lots of amazing coastal walks this is a perfect location for anyone looking to explore North Devon on foot or by bike. Wonderful surfing beaches at Croyde and Putsborough are only a few minutes drive, with Exmoor National park and plenty of family attractions all very closeby.
