With beautiful views and a charming mix of traditional and contemporary features, Pant y Crwyni is a wonderful dwelling for a couple or small family getaway to Mid Wales, within easy reach of Welshpool, Snowdonia National Park and the Shropshire Hills AONB. As you arrive to the property, you are surrounded by sheep pasture, with ample space to park your car before you walk up the hill to the stone cottage, with a picnic bench outside to enjoy your morning coffee in the fresh countryside air. You enter the property into an inviting sitting room, with a wood burning stove in a grand inglenook fire place, peacock blue velvet sofas, a television (for streaming purposes only), a selection of DVDs and a Bluetooth speaker which can be turned up to full blast as you have no neighbours nearby! Moving through the property there is a well-equipped kitchen, so you can decide who the dedicated chef will be and sit round the dining table to enjoy an evening meal as you toast to a wonderful holiday. Climbing upstairs, where you can view a unique mural of the names of every owner of the cottage since 1768, there is a spacious double room, with plenty of storage to unpack, a large mirror to get ready in style, and a well-situated armchair, great for admiring the views. There is also a lovely twin room and a contemporary shower room to freshen yourself up after a long day of exploring. A short drive into the small village of Carno with the River Carno running through, you will find a shop for any essentials you may need during your stay, a pub to enjoy an evening out and the idyllic Peniel Chapel. A little further afield is Welshpool, a historic market town with an interesting museum, plenty of shops, bars and eateries to make it a worthy day out, as well as the National Trust Powis Castle and Gardens, making a great place for a stroll and a picnic. If you can tear yourself away, visit Machynlleth, the location of Owain Glyndwr's 'Welsh Parliament' of 1404 and just up the road is the world renowned and innovative Centre for Alternative Technology. Then head down towards the Welsh coast for a day at Aberystwyth and get your feet wet at Ynyslas Beach, near Borth. For a unique trip to the countryside, with plenty to do nearby, choose Pant y Crwyni as your spacious base.

Plas Llysyn has an idyllic Chapel, the River Carno running through, a Spar and a pub. Nearby is Newtown which has a textile museum and shops, bars and eateries. In driving distance is the market town of Welshpool which is home to the National Trust Powis Castle and Gardens. Also in driving distance is Montgomery, just on the border to England, where you can visit the ruins of the 11th century Norman castle.
