The charming market town of Monmouth is 1 mile away from this modern home it's an easy walk or a short drive through the hamlet of Osbaston. The town centre is a Georgian jewel with an idiosyncratic old cinema, The Savoy, and a variety of quality restaurants and independent shops including an excellent traditional butcher and greengrocer. The nearby River Wye and Forest of Dean offer holiday activities such as walking, cycling, fishing, climbing, or canoeing. Further afield are the mysterious Black Mountains, the bracing Brecon Beacons and the restful Hay on Wye and Golden Valley. Countryside walks start from your doorstep with a labyrinth of local paths leading through woods and the surrounding hills that afford magnificent views. A multitude of local birdlife and wildlife will delight any enthusiast. For more serious walkers, The Wye Valley Walk, Offa s Dyke Path and the Three Castles Walk are all within easy travelling distance. The cottage is a new build, traditionally styled property that was completed in 2014. The accommodation offers a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge/freezer, electric oven, gas hob and microwave. There is also a dishwasher and washer/dryer. The dining area comfortably seats four and there is a snug area with wood burner and a Smart TV. A separate quiet sitting room is the perfect spot for reading or watching TV away from the busy kitchen area. Between the two, there is a downstairs cloakroom/wetroom with direct tiled access to the front door allowing entrance to the cottage in wet/muddy outdoor gear. Upstairs features a large principal bedroom with a king size bed, a dressing room and an en suite bathroom/wetroom. There is also access via French doors to a balcony area where you can enjoy watching the sun go down. Across the landing is a large twin bedroom which has two single beds and its own en suite bathroom. Outside, the main room allows access to a two level patio where you can enjoy a BBQ or just sit and relax with outstanding countryside views. There is an all weather tennis court available by request with the owner, plus secure storage for bicycles and level parking for two cars. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 king size and 1 twin. 3 bathrooms 1 en suite with shower, bath and WC and 1 en suite handheld shower over bath and 1 ground floor shower and WC. Electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine/dryer. Wood burner (logs included). TV in lounge and snug. Off road parking for two cars. All weather tennis court by arrangement with the owner. Secure storage for bikes. Restaurants and shop within walking distance.
