Situated in the heart of a conservation area, the village of Kings Cliffe is a hidden gem offering a mix of stone built period houses and a church, bakery/cafe, pub, greengrocer, general shop, village hall, brewery, art gallery and a small heritage centre. This Grade II Listed cottage, that dates from the late 17th Century, was for generations home to the village bakers and is next door to a bakery shop and café, which offers a range of fresh breads, tasty treats and light meals. The historic market towns of Stamford, Oakham, Oundle and Uppingham are all within easy reach. As are Kirby Hall, Fotheringhay and Rockingham Castles, The Nene Valley Railway, Rutland Water and Burghley House, perhaps our greatest Elizabethan stately home and the world famous Horse Trials. Step into the cottage and notice the beamed and stone floor entrance which leads through to the lounge. This space is the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the area with comfy sofas, an open fire and a TV with a full sky package to enjoy your favourite programmes. The dining room has wooden floors and an exposed stone chimney breast providing a cosy place to enjoy a celebration dinner. Taking one step up into the kitchen with which is well equipped to rustle up some home cooked food with an electric oven and hob, large fridge/freezer, two wine fridges, a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. Reached via another step is the conservatory with comfy seating overlooking the garden. Head upstairs where the cottage offers three bedrooms, two king size bedrooms and a twin bedroom. There is a games room with pool table, soft darts board and TV with full sky package. The bathroom offers a corner bath, enclosed shower and WC, with the benefit of an additional separate WC. The garden is fully enclosed and has a patio with outdoor dining furniture and BBQ, surrounded by lawn. There is off road parking for three cars.
