The well-equipped, modern kitchen is light and airy with a dining area next to the double glazed doors which open out onto the beautiful terraced garden. Upstairs (be aware the stairs are quite narrow and steep), two of the three bedrooms have inviting king-size beds and are simply and elegantly decorated with calming whites and greys. The third bedroom is ideal for the little ones, with fun bunk beds, always a hit with children.

Step outside and take in the panoramic rural views across Shipton Gorge from the terrace and pretty garden. The terrace is ideal for al-fresco dining, enjoying the company of family and friends in this secluded location. On warmer evenings, as night falls, the pretty hanging outdoor lighting will create a magical atmosphere.

The village pub is a very short stroll away, and Hive Beach, with its famous seafood café, is just two miles away. There are numerous days out to plan with seaside towns and villages just a short car drive away, including Bridport, Westbay, Charmouth, Lyme Regis and Weymouth. The nearby county town of Dorchester is well worth a visit with its shops, cinemas, Roman Town House, Iron Age hill fort, museums and Thomas Hardy’s Max Gate and Cottage.
