The open-plan sitting room and dining area, complete with a cosy multi-fuel stove, large Smart television and iPod dock, provides the perfect space to unwind and relax after a busy day exploring. A well-equipped kitchen has all you need to rustle up delicious meals from the local, fresh Somerset produce and benefits from a useful walk-in larder and a separate utility room, keeping the laundry out of sight and mind. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed with television and bedroom two provides the flexibility of either twin 2'6 single beds or zipped together as a second king-size bed. The third bedroom is a single room with a 3' single bed. A spacious bathroom has both a bath and separate shower cubicle, in addition is a cloakroom/WC.
Outside, enjoy a morning coffee from the Nespresso coffee machine or an evening barbecue in the enclosed rear garden with large lawn and patio area. From all aspects of the garden are wonderful rural views, and from the front of the property, you can enjoy the delightful views up to the nearby Burrow Hill and more Somerset countryside. Situated off the beaten track down a quiet lane, Hillview and the wider rural area is well served by footpaths and cycle routes as well as outlets for local crafts and produce. The Somerset cider industry can be experienced all around this peaceful area with acres of apple orchards and opportunities for sampling the produce with a visit to a nearby distillery.
The local area is at the heart of Somerset and gives the county its name, as the internationally important Levels and Moors, which are amongst the lowest and flattest areas in the UK, were once covered by sea, with the exception of the curious mounds that rose above them as islands. Somerset is therefore ‘the land of the summer people’, as the rich grazing pastures of the Levels were only accessible in the drier, summer months. This beautiful and peaceful area offers the chance to relax and witness rare species of plant, bird and animals under a wide expanse of sky, surrounded by tranquil waterscapes; and Hillview is perfectly situated for exploring this stunning protected area.
