Whilst in the other direction you can relax at the quieter bays of the south coast where you can also find the popular Eden Project which is home to a beautiful biodome rainforest․ The town of St Austell is bustling with shops, bars and eateries, including a Victorian brewery which has a museum, bar and tours with massive copper tanks and 150 years of history. Also on the south coast, are the towns of Charlestown with its interesting harbour providing local produce, whilst the town of Fowey has an aquarium and offers little bus tours with recent stories of smuggling and battles. Fowey and Charlestown are also known for their striking Tall Ships, whilst the nearby 19th century National Trust Lanhydrock House has gorgeous gardens with bike trails. Lostwithiel is also rich with history with Tudor Bridge, the local museum and the nearby ruins of the romantic Restormel Castle.
