Shops and restaurants can be found in the village of Heckington (3.5 miles), with attractions such as the famous eight sailed windmill, micro brewery and café. Take in a visit to this working windmill and see flour being made. Lincolnshire, known as 'Bomber County', is home of the RAF, with its bases such as Cranwell, Coningsby, and Scampton (home to the Red Arrows). The National Trust's Belton House and Gardens (21 miles) is well worth a visit. Further afield is the historic city of Lincoln (26.5 miles) with plenty on offer, along with the Lincolnshire Wolds and Lincolnshire coastline waiting to be explored, there will not be a dull moment during your trip. Step through into the kitchen which offers everything you need to rustle up a good meal during your stay, including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and Tassimo coffee machine. There is a beautiful enclosed walled garden directly outside the cottage, furnished with an outdoor table and chairs, perfect for dining alfresco. There is a further enclosed garden shared with the owner, with a garden room tucked away with comfortable seating, so you can enjoy the feeling of being outside come rain or shine. You will find another cosy corner with outdoor seating and a wood burner a lovely spot to sit and watch the stars. There is a further spacious paddock which again is fully enclosed and a wonderful space to enjoy some garden games or exercise the dog. There is off road parking for two cars.
