Inside there are spaces to converge in and places retreat to, with fashionable sitting rooms designed for enjoying afternoon cups of tea or evening G&T’s, and beautiful bedrooms tempting morning naps and nights of deeply comfortable sleep. There’s a fabulous sauna for relaxation and rejuvenation, and a library room of holiday reads to discover.
Bold prints and soft fabrics highlight each room, with features like the large farmhouse table in the dining room and a fireplace in the living room, adding conviviality and character to the home. Perfectly positioned to take full advantage of all of Cornwall’s best bits, Great Trethawle lies close to Bodmin Moor and is within an hour of some of the area’s must-visit attractions including the charming town of Looe (just 6 miles away), The Camel Trail, Lanydroc House and The Eden Project. Closer to home, the market town of Liskeard makes for a lovely place to stroll through; taking time to soak up its Victorian and Edwardian architecture, and then stopping off for a coffee or a bite to eat in one of its pubs or restaurants.
*This house is not only easy on the eye but is also kind to the environment and is powered by a combination of wind turbine energy and solar panels. The pool is filled with Spring water and is heated by a ground source air pump.

Located on the ground floor this comfortable room is beautifully furnished and features a fireplace, three sofas and a Smart 32” flat screen TV
Movie Room
Located on the ground floor this gorgeous room has a large 70” flat screen Smart TV with two Chesterfield sofas. It also has low stools and a table for smaller people and games for everyone
Library Room
Located up the stairs on the first-floor landing, this area is furnished with two vibrant tub chairs and features a bookcase with a selection of fiction and non-fiction for guests to enjoy
Kitchen (and separate utility)
Located on the ground floor and open plan with the dining room, the kitchen features granite worktops, a large breakfast bar / central island with four barstools and window seat
There are two fridge with water dispensers, a separate freezer, two electric single ovens with grills, two combination microwaves, two large warming draws and an induction hob
A Tassimo coffee machine as well as a selection of kitchen appliances are provided including mixer, toaster, kettle, blender, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer as well as a range of cookware and utensils, an iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner

Located on the ground floor this gorgeous room is open plan with the kitchen and has a fabulous farmhouse dining table with seating for (at least) 14 guests

Situated on the ground floor, the room is furnished with bar stool seating and a wall-mounted counter to rest drinks and snacks on. The room has a pool table, dart board, table tennis top (with bats and balls provided) and air hockey
There are seven bedrooms, three of which are effectively masters. Bedrooms are furnished with wardrobes, bedside tables with lights, a hair dryer in the drawer and plenty of storage. All but one (The Bird Room) is en suite, and all have a garden outlook.

The gardens at Great Trethawle are well-established and lush, with mature plants and walkways creating a beautiful place to spend time in. There’s an arbor to explore, a wonderful herb garden to delve into for your cooking, and various furnished terraces providing places to enjoy al fresco dining, including a table, various forms of seating and a parasol
The saltwater swimming pool is heated by an air source heat pump and is big enough to do laps in. It has a shallow end (with steps) of approximately 1m which slopes down to a deep end of approximately 2m. This is available to use April - October inclusive but because the pool is heated by an air source heat pump, the temperature cannot be guaranteed. There are several sun loungers to make use of
The tennis court is well-maintained with tennis rackets and balls provided for guests to use
The beautiful hot tub is traditional, handcrafted and wood fired and is suitable for up to 10 people
The house provides a charcoal BBQ
The 2km farm walk is accessed down the lane past the cottages and takes guests through woods where they can spot deer, buzzards and a range of other flora and fauna

Private parking for six cars on the gravel driveway to the front of the house
