With secret beaches, secluded coves, dramatic cliff walks and country views, Lewannick Farm is in an enviable, peaceful holiday location, surrounded by a network of footpaths near to the edge of Cubert Common. These single-storey, semi-detached barn conversions (refs 30127 and 31299), adjacent to the owners’ home, are close to the north coast but also has easy access to tour the whole of Cornwall. A small garden in each property provides the perfect spot for an al fresco dinner or lunch, but with several pubs and restaurants within walking distance, you may prefer to visit one for local food and drink. The village of Holywell has a surf school and hire shop, pubs serving local produce and a beach shop. Horse riding, cycling, diving and sea fishing are all available locally. A short drive or a good walk along the coastal path that runs close to the house will bring you to Crantock, a quaint village with its own golden beach. Newquay, with its surf and beach culture is close by, and has many restaurants, shops, a zoo, leisure centres, swimming and a working harbour, where you can take out to sea on one of the many fishing boats and hopefully catch the evening’s dinner. Watergate Bay is nearby, and Padstow, with many eateries, including Rick Stein’s restaurant and an excellent fish and chip shop, is a short drive along one of the most beautiful coast roads in the country. St Ives, Fowey, Falmouth, The Eden Project and many Natioinal Trust houses and gardens are all easily reached. Holywell, Porth Joke and Crantock beaches are all within walking distance. Beach ¾ mile.
