Bonawe Iron Works, Cruachan Hollow Mountain, Oban Distillery, Inveraray Jail and the Sea Life Centre all make for great days out. Glencoe and Fort William are also easily accessible and offer excellent walking, mountain biking, climbing and skiing. Take the Jacobite Steam Train from Fort William across the Glenfinnan Viaduct as depicted in the Harry Potter Movie, or ride the Gondola up Anoch Mor Mountain. Other outdoor activities in the area include horse riding, diving, sailing, canoeing, golf, mountain biking and fishing. There are plenty of famous castles, beautiful gardens and historical sites to visit. Port Appin has a small village shop, post office and two restaurants.
