Original beams, fireplaces and mullioned and leaded windows dating from 1620, combine with ‘country living’ style contemporary furnishings making this a really special holiday home. The private, enclosed rear garden has terraces and an elevated deck from which to relax and admire the wonderful views. Mushroom Cottage is a cosy and romantic, detached little barn conversion with an electric wood burner in the living room and enjoys wonderful views across the valley to Win Hill. A 5-minute stroll leads to iconic Peveril Castle, the Peak Cavern and the five pubs, restaurants, cafes, ‘Blue John’ craft shops, galleries and village store in this very popular village. The area is a walking wonderland with limestone dales and high moorland to explore. Chatsworth House, Lyme Park (NT), Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath and many other attractions within a ½ hour drive. Buxton 10 miles. Golf, fly fishing and pony trekking 6 miles.
