There’s a working harbour, a pretty marina and a sandy beach to enjoy just a short walk from this end terraced property. A popular Sunday market on the harbour provides a great morning out. You’ll find a super little fish restaurant hidden behind the lifeboat house, and an award-winning ice cream parlour. Coquet Island is a designated RSPB protected bird sanctuary home to some 30000 puffins, which can be seen on the puffin cruises that depart from Amble. Just two miles away is the picture-perfect village of Warkworth with its hillside castle, pubs, shops and scenic walks along the banks of the river. Young witches and wizards are drawn to Alnwick Castle, which featured in the Harry Potter films. You can also visit the impressive water gardens and the world’s largest treehouse-turned restaurant whilst you’re there.
