Set in a quiet residential area of the sought after suburb of Cherry Hinton yet close to the centre of Cambridge, Cavendish is a semi-detached house and is the perfect choice for those wishing to explore this great university city. With a peaceful, enclosed garden to the rear, it really is possible to enjoy a city break and still unwind. Those wishing to avoid driving and parking in Cambridge can leave the car behind and use the regular buses, which run to the centre. There is also a cycle or walking route that takes you to the heart of the city. Cambridge has a wealth of things to do and see. Punting on the River Cam is a must as is one of the many walking tours that operate across this historical city. Enjoy an open top bus tour, sit back and relax and enjoy the sights of this great city. The famous Fitzwilliam Museum is also well worth a visit and there are, of course, numerous places to shop, eat and drink. Close by lies the Cambridgeshire Fens with Welney Wetlands, a must for wildlife lovers, and the small city of Ely, where its magnificent cathedral has been dubbed ’the ship of the fens’ because of the way it rises up on the horizon as you approach. The Imperial War Museum Duxford is also close by and makes for a great day out.
