Welcome pack.. Front terrace with garden furniture. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking.. Sycamore Cottage was built in the late 1800’s and was originally a cow byre used for milking a dairy herd. The building was converted to a holiday cottage in the mid 1970’s and modernised to a contemporary style in 2017. A cosy property, it offers open plan living, dining and kitchen areas, two good sized bedrooms and a shower room with a walk-in shower. The cottage also has an outdoor terrace offering an amazing view down to the coast and Runswick Bay. The cottage is set on a working farm and has a shared yard and drive, used by two adjacent properties. For families travelling with babies, the owners are happy to provide a baby bath, changing mat, potty, toilet training seat and step if required. Borrowby is a quiet hamlet located off the beaten track, but within the North York Moors National Park and overlooking the Yorkshire Heritage Coast. It’s a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. The surrounding area can be explored on foot, via a network of footpaths, or on horseback from the Borrowby Equestrian Centre. Despite its isolated location, Borrowby is a great starting point from where you can explore the North Yorkshire Coast, North York Moors National Park and the Cleveland Hills. The historic towns of Whitby and Guisbrough are just 20 minutes away. Scaling Dam and Lockwood Beck, located close on the A171, are both available for fishing (permits and licenses required). Scarborough is about an hour’s drive away and York can be reached within an hour and a half. For local convenience, there is a small shop, chip shop, pubs and a bus stop at Staithes, approximately 10-minutes’ drive away. A fuel station, butchers shop and pubs can be found at Hinderwell, 5-minutes’ drive from Staithes. Beach 2 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles. Free WiFi
