Shropshire’s most well known towns of Ludlow, Shrewsbury and Ironbridge are all easily accessible, and the borders for Wales and Herefordshire are also nearby. The River Severn runs through the county and offers boat trips from select locations, as well as canoeing and kayaking. National Trust properties Attingham Park in Shropshire, Powys Castle near Welshpool, and Berrington Hall in Herefordshire are all within an hours drive.
