The local area is surrounded by beautiful scenery and countryside, and there are many outdoor activities to suit all tastes, including walking, cycling, mountain biking and fishing. For days out you can visit Stirling, just over a 30-minute drive, with its historic castle, the National Wallace Monument, the Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Centre, riverside walks, shopping centre and plenty of places to eat. For those looking for a golfing holiday, then Auchterarder Golf Course and the famous championship Gleneagles Golf Course are close by, as well as several other excellent golf courses in the area. There are several whisky distilleries where you can see the distilling and sample a dram including The Famous Grouse. Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park is just over a 30-minute drive, where you can explore the spectacular countryside.
