The very popular Beamish Living Museum is located only 4 miles away and is the perfect destination for guests of all ages at any time of year. Thrill seeking guests should take this opportunity to visit Beamish Wild and enjoy a day on the open-air rope courses, as well as taking a visit through the Living Museum itself which features a 1900’s town, 1940’s farm and a 1900’s pit village. There is an old fashioned sweet shop, fish and chip shop and even an ice rink in the winter months. The cathedral city of Durham is just a little over 12 miles away, where guests will be able to explore this UNESCO World Heritage site.
