Kitchen/dining room: With electric range, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tiled floor. Conservatory. First Floor: Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed and Freeview TV. Bedroom 2: With zip and link twin beds (can be super kingsize on request) and Freeview TV. Bathroom: With shower over bath, toilet and heated towel rail. . Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Welcome pack and doggy extras. Located in the unspoilt North Devon countryside between Okehampton and Great Torrington, Tythecombe Lake Cottage is somewhere to escape to and enjoy all the countryside has to offer. This comfortable, semi-detached, well-appointed cottage is adjacent to the owners home and benefits from a large conservatory with views over the surrounding area. There is an enclosed courtyard so children and pets can run freely. In the living room, the wood burner will create a warming glow as you unwind. There are numerous walks directly from the cottage into the countryside and neighbouring estate. The village of Merton is half a mile from the cottage and here you will find a local shop and garage as well as the country inn. Tythecombe Lake Cottage is ideally suited to explore the charming north Devon coast and countryside. There are stunning beaches at Woolacombe and Sandymouth, and you can enjoy a day out at Hartland and visit the lighthouse, Hartland Quay and the historic fishing village at Clovelly. The towns of Great Torrington and Bideford lie close by, where you will find most amenities and at Bideford’s quay you can book a trip to Lundy Island, and slightly further afield there is Dartmoor National Park. Beach lovers will delight in the wide sandy beaches, the nearest being the lovely beach at Westward Ho!. The Milky Way and The Big Sheep adventure parks will fascinate the younger ones. If gardens are of interest, you will find the RHS gardens at Rosemoor a delight and close by is the Dartington Crystal Factory. There are numerous National Trust properties in the surrounding area to enjoy, including Arlington Court and Castle Drogo. Cycle hire on the Tarka Trail can be arranged at Great Torrington and there is golf, fishing and horse riding all available locally. Beach 14 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
