The shabby chic style of this pretty cottage, with its wooden shuttered windows, traditional beams and a large welcoming multi-fuel burner, is ideal for relaxing and unwinding after a day exploring the many visitor attractions throughout the county. There are walks available from the door, and the Kielder Marathon and cycle races pass by the cottage; head through the rear gate down the field and straight onto the cycle route. The Gold Tier International Dark Sky Park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is the largest in Europe, perfect for stargazers and photographers, and is located only a few hundred yards from the edge of Kielder Water. Visit Kielder Observatory (booking required) for a chance to spot the Northern Lights. Lake View Cottage is ideal for couples or a small family, with Tower Knowe visitor centre, where you can discover the rich history of Kielder Water and Forest Park, and the local pub only a mile away. Adventure seekers will enjoy cycling, walking, sailing or fishing which are all available nearby. Leaplish Waterside Park is only 5 miles away offering a swimming pool and spa, a lovely pub and visitor centre, a hop on ferry, a bird of prey centre, picnic tables and stunning views.
