Breacwell Cottage is situated on the banks of Loch Migdale and enjoys stunning views across this magnificent and picturesque Highland loch. This traditional croft cottage, set on a working sheep farm, has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with beamed ceilings downstairs and a cosy open fire in the pretty living room. The conservatory at the front provides an ideal spot to sit and relax whilst watching the myriad of wildlife that frequents the loch. Swans and cygnets, rare osprey and numerous other birds are regularly seen here. There is a bright, well-equipped kitchen with dining table and a family bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs are two attractively presented bedrooms, with traditional combed ceilings. The main double bedroom has an en-suite shower room and the second bedroom has a single and a double bed. Both are beautifully presented with colour co-ordinated soft furnishings. Outside there is a fully enclosed charming cottage garden, with picnic table. Breacwell Cottage is a must for those seeking the peace and tranquillity of the natural environment. Deer, otters, pine marten and numerous birds are all present in the locality and the owner’s sheep graze in the adjoining fields. Outdoor enthusiasts are spoilt for choice. There are superb forest and trail walks direct from the cottage, along the banks of Loch Migdale and through the hills. Renowned mountain biking trails are close by and fishing, golf, hill walking, climbing and a wide variety of water sports are all local pastimes. Whilst tucked away in a quiet no through lane, it is well placed for exploring the whole of the Highland region and is located close to the North Coast 500 route that runs through some of the most dramatic scenery to be found anywhere in the British Isles. Head west along a spectacular route with mountains, lochs and rivers to Ullapool and Lochinver. Explore the dramatic far north coast or head south to Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, which is about one hour’s drive. There are plenty of places of interest in the vicinity. Watch salmon leaping at the Falls of Shin, visit Royal Dornoch with its beautiful sandstone cathedral, sandy beach and championship golf course. The nearby village of Bonar Bridge has a selection of small shops, pub and restaurant, as well as a leisure centre and its own 9-hole golf course. Beach 10 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
