Ground Floor: Living/dining room: With gas coal-effect fire, 30" Freeview TV and patio doors leading to patio. Kitchen: With electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and washer/dryer.. First Floor: Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed. Bedroom 2: With twin beds. Bathroom: With shower over bath, and toilet.. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. . Small enclosed patio with garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car; additional on road parking. No smoking.. The Retreat is a terraced house on the outskirts of Kendal and is a great base from which to explore the Lake District National Park. On the ground floor you have a combined living/dining room at the rear of the property, which looks out through the patio doors onto the enclosed patio with seating area. The kitchen is on the same floor and has a fridge with separate freezer, a washer/dryer and all other appliances you would expect to find in a modern kitchen. On the first floor you find a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and the family bathroom. The bustling market town of Kendal is the southern gateway to the Lake District, offering many amenities, two museums, cinemas, the Brewery Art Centre, Abbot Hall Art Gallery and an extensive choice of restaurants and pubs. The Lake District National Park, with the picturesque town of Windermere, is just 9 miles away, Sedbergh in the Yorkshire Dales National Park is also 9 miles, and just over ½ an hour’s drive will take you to the Morecambe Bay area. Outdoor activities include cycling, golf, sailing, horse riding and many interesting walks. Historic houses within easy reach are Holker Hall, Levens Hall and Sizergh Castle. Beach 14 miles.
