With lovely views overlooking the foothills of the Yorkshire Wolds and just a stones throw from the village green in Brantingham is the beautifully presented 19th century Sandringham Cottage, built by the then Prince of Wales for estate workers. Centrally located with easy access to York, Beverley and Hull it provides the perfect base for exploring the east coast and the rolling unspoilt countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds. This romantic cottage is bright and homely, and retains some of its original features. The large kitchen/dining area is fitted with stunning shaker style units complete with granite work tops and a Belfast sink. There is seating area with leather sofa tucked into an alcove providing the perfect place to sit and enjoy a glass or two whilst enjoying watching someone else prepare your evening meal! The French doors flood the room with natural light and offer access to the enclosed garden and patio area. The cosy living room is to the front of the property. There is a kingsize bedroom and a twin bedroom, both decorated in soft hues and the soft furnishings provide that added wow factor. The garden has both a patio and lawned area with seating offering views out over the foothills of the Yorkshire Wolds enabling you to enjoy morning coffee or a romantic al fresco dinner. Just a short stroll from the front door is a very popular eatery offering a fine dining experience and some local ales. A variety of shops for all your holiday essentials can be found in the nearby village of South Cave. A little further afield is the upmarket town of Beverley with the stunning Beverley Minster at its heart. This affluent town offers an array of excellent eateries, independent shops and boutiques. The common pastures of Westood; perfect for dog walking, and Beverley racecourse sit just outside town. The historic city of York and Hull (City of Culture to the end 2020) are also within a short drive. With miles of footpaths and cycle routes criss-crossing the Yorkshire Wolds, Sandringham Cottage is perfectly placed to enjoy a more active holiday where you can explore hidden vales dotted with pretty Wold villages and numerous country pubs providing traditional Yorkshire fayre and some of the country’s greatest real ales. The east coast town of Hornsea offers long sandy beaches and an elegant promenade if you fancy blowing the cobwebs away with some great sea air. There is so much to do and see in this area including the stately homes of Sledmere House, Sewerby Hall, Burton Agnes and Burton Constable.
