Perfectly located on a prime site in Whitley Bay known as The Esplanade where a handy lift takes you right to the apartment, with gated parking for one car. Straight over the road, you have the beautiful promenade stretching in both directions along this fabulous stretch of coast with three beaches nearby and plenty of places to stop off for drinks, snacks and meals. A perfect location for a family seaside holiday or for couples or friends to relax and get away from it all for a lovely short break. The contemporary living space is perfectly suited to spend some time together, relaxing and watching the sea whilst planning where to go to next. Step out and walk along to an award-winning Turkish restaurant or try one of the Indian, Italian, or fish restaurants nearby. The Spanish City is a true highlight of Whitley Bay, completely renovated inside and out with a lovely champagne bar on the top floor maximising the views and a tea room for high teas. Events are held in this iconic building, built in 1910. Outside is a friendly real ale bar, a popular stopping off place for locals out walking. This whole stretch of coastline goes along to Cullercoats, Tynemouth and the North Shields Fish Quay which is popular with locals with an abundance of eating places and trendy bars, cafés and bespoke shops. Tynemouth is famed for surfing competitions and you often see surfers out on the waves. Whitley Bay has a lovely Playhouse and it is worth looking to see what is on in advance when you come to stay at Sea View Apartment as it is only a few minutes’ walk away. There is also a large Waves Leisure Centre if you are bring any children along. The local metro station is nearby where you can travel onto Newcastle upon Tyne and then take a train to Edinburgh, Durham or York should you wish for a full day out. If you want to travel further along the Northumberland Heritage Coast, the road network is excellent to take you onto Alnwick Castle, less than an hours drive away, or up towards Holy Island and Bamburgh. Head west over towards Hadrians Wall which is steeped in history and even go to Kielder Water, set in the fantastic Northumberland National Park. There really is so many places to visit in all directions made simpler by the great road network, easy access to a metro or stay closer to your front door, leaving the car behind and treat yourself to fish suppers or a lovely drink in one of the friendly nearby pubs.
