Nearby is the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at Coningsby, home to the WWII Lancaster bomber, or at East Kirkby, enjoy the museum and tribute to the airmen of WWII and see the Lancaster bomber doing taxi runs. The nearby Lincolnshire Wolds villages are great to explore with many good pubs for refreshment on your travels. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness, famous for its sandy beaches, is just 25 miles to the east and makes for a great day out. Head inland and within a 30-minute drive you will reach the centre of Lincoln, famous for its cathedral, castle and Magna Carta Visitor Centre, as well as many shops and a vibrant wharf area where you can enjoy lunch and watch the boats go by. There is also a good selection of walks and cycle routes throughout the area and straight from the door. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
