No smoking.. Llety’r Glöwr is situated in the grounds of Tŷ Coch Mansion, Betws Ammanford. The building originates from the by-gone era of the South Wales mining industry and was once home to the architectural and mechanical planning department. The original large windows still remain and flood the property with light. At the end of the last century it became a thriving night-club but the disco beats have now been softened by the warmth of the wood burner. All on the ground floor, Llety’r Glöwr has a spacious living room with a wood burner and 50" TV, which leads to the kitchen/dining area, where there is everything you need to enjoy a self-catering holiday. There are three bedrooms, the master bedroom has a kingsize bed and en-suite facilities, the second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom has twin beds. All rooms have TV’s and are beautifully decorated. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with seating area and private parking for at least four cars. This beautiful property nestles in a lovely location, perfect for exploring the surrounding areas. It nestles in the shelter of Betws mountain and the Swansea/Gower coast line on one side and the Black Mountains and it’s beauty to the other. The town of Ammanford is just 2 miles away with its abundance of shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. Llandeilo, 6 miles, has a historical background and hosts various festivals throughout the year, including the famous jazz festival and gin festival. There are plenty of sites to see and enjoy for all ages including the wooded Amman Valley, the stunning views from Tro’r Gwcw near Brynamman, local castles such as ’Carreg Cennen’ to the north and the cascading water at Four Waterfalls Ystradfellte to the east. Alternatively, take a hike or a bike ride in Llyn Llech Owain Country Park and roam the 158-acre park with woods, lakes and forest tracks. The more adventurous will also enjoy the rough mountain trails. For a great family day out, enjoy a trip to The National Show Caves Centre at Dan yr Ogof.
