Ideally located on the coast and just across from the promenade and beach, this terraced holiday home is on the main road through Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, and is an ideal base from which to explore the many delights waiting in Northumberland. Newbiggin-by-the-Sea is a friendly village with a cliff-top golf course, sailing club, lifeboat station and the Newbiggin Maritime Centre. A family-run, Italian ice cream parlour, dating back to the 1950’s, is in the centre of the promenade next to the bandstand. A glorious sandy beach is the backdrop for the sweeping bay, and is ideal for picnics or exploring the rock pools, the owner even supplies you with beach towels. Nearby Woodhorn Museum has regular events and holds genealogy records, and is situated next to the QE2 Park, which has a large lake with swans. Cresswell and Druridge Bay are close by and are the start of the stunning Northumberland Heritage Coast, where you can follow the trail all the way up past Bamburgh to Holy Island. The pretty, historic town of Morpeth is only 7½ miles away, with a fine selection of shops and pubs. The town of Amble, with its great Sunday market, is only 13 miles and has a working harbour, whilst Newcastle is 18 miles. Kielder Water, situated in the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park, is 53 miles away. Other places of interest to visit include Alnwick Castle and its gardens, 25 miles, Hadrian’s Wall, 45 miles, the Farne Islands and Holy Island.
