The spacious kitchen has a breakfast bar and flows nicely through to the dining and living area; which has a wood burner style electric fan heater. There is also a garden to the front with views across to the sea. The beauty of this barn is that it is all on the ground floor and there are three bedrooms and three bathrooms! Both of the double rooms boast en-suites with shower cubicles, the second double bedroom is accessed via the first. However, if you prefer privacy the interconnecting bedroom door can be locked as each room has its own private external access leading directly onto the garden and parking area. There’s a further single room and a bathroom. The Ceredigion Heritage Coast has everything from rugged headlands, fishing villages and harbours to lovely sandy beaches and isolated coves. There are many nature reserves and marine conservation areas and is a testament to the wide variety of bird and animal population it supports. Pods of bottlenose dolphins, porpoises and grey seals can be frequently seen and regular boat trips run from the pretty seaside town of New Quay, just a few miles down the coast from Dan Y Coed. Aberystwyth, with its pier and promenade, is a 20-minute drive and here you can take the electric cliff railway up to the summit of Coinstitution Hill and be rewarded with the most spectacular view whilst you have a coffee and cake. Why not also take the narrow gauge steam railway to the waterfalls at Devil’s Bridge whist you are here? The colourful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron is 4 miles south and here there’s a good selection of independent shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs. There are many events on during the year including the seafood festival, Welsh cobs and ponies festival, and music festival in New Quay. Travelling deeper inland you can explore the rugged and tranquil Cambrian Mountains; great for scenic walks or bike trails for cycling enthusiasts. Fishing can also be found nearby. Come and discover this lovely picturesque location, with a glass of wine in hand, watch the sun set over Cardigan Bay and watch the red kites and buzzards soar overhead. Beach 1½ miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 1¼ miles.
