Laugharne was made famous by the poet Dylan Thomas, and to this day you can visit the Boat House which was once Dylan’s home, where he lived with his family, and which is now a museum, along with his writing shed, a must to visit. Within the town enjoy rambling around the Georgian townhouses and take in some of the fresh local produce and craft ales at some of fantastic eateries. A 5-minute drive away is the seaside resort of Pendine which is perfect for long walks, building sandcastles and exploring rook pools with your family. This 7 mile long beach is one of longest in West Wales, and where Malcolm Campbell set the world land speed record five times, hence its perfect for land sailing and kite buggying, or for a little relaxation try some fishing. The walled town of Tenby and Saundersfoot are only 30/40 minutes away and perfect for days out, along with Oakwood, Wales’s largest theme park, and Folly Farm Zoo. Beach 5 miles.
