Take a walk along the local sections of the Great Western Canal, or visit Bicton Botanical Park and the National Trust properties of Knightshayes Court and Arlington Court. The Tarka Line is within easy reach and there are also several golf courses and plenty of opportunities for swimming, horse riding, cycling and fishing. The cathedral city of Exeter is 25 miles away with the River Exe, Devonshire Heartland, Somerset and the North Devon coastline all within easy reach. Crealy Adventure Park, Diggerland, Paignton Zoo, which covers 75 acres, and the Dart Valley Steam Railway make a great day out with the children.
