Built in 2018, Shepley Mews is a modern, terraced, mews cottage that can be found in the historic and picturesque village of Old Glossop, on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Perfect for families, couples or friends alike and with the benefit of a hot tub that comfortably accommodates 4 adults or 3 if used with the recliner seat. There is much to do in the immediate area with nearby Manor Park providing a wonderful spot for a picnic in the summer. It’s also home to bowling greens, semi-natural woodland, a children’s play area and tennis courts. A few minutes’ walk will also take you to a pub that serves traditional food, as well as having an Indian restaurant upstairs. Glossop town centre is less than a mile away, and as a lively, former mill town it is home to a wealth of shops, pubs and eateries, as well as a golf course with a pay-per-play scheme. Ideally located for exploring the nearby hills, valleys, paths and trails of the magnificent Peak District National Park, there are many attractions of all types. A 10-minute drive will take you to the peaceful village of Hayfield, as seen on BBC1 TV drama series, The Village. Hayfield is popular with walkers due its close proximity to the moorland of Kinder Scout and Bleaklow. Edale, the traditional start/end of the long distance footpath Pennine Way is around 30 minutes away, and also caters well for visitors with its own collection of pubs, cafés and restaurants. The spa town of Buxton with its majestic Pavilion Gardens and architecture, and the famous flooded underground cave system of Blue John, Treak Cliff, and Speedwell Cavern in Castleton can also be reached in around 30 minutes, as can Lyme Park and Hall where Pride and Prejudice was filmed.
