The Anchorage is a first floor apartment situated on the prestigious Harbour Road in the picturesque coastal village of Beadnell. It is located in a block of four, with independent access to each apartment. The entrance to The Anchorage leads up 13 steps to the open plan living space, from where a patio door leads to a balcony with stunning views across the sea. Access to a sandy bay, speckled with rocky outcrops, is directly opposite The Anchorage and leads to a long, sandy beach that stretches to Seahouses, 2 miles north. The wide expanse of golden sandy beach, which Beadnell Bay is renowned for, is about ½ mile away, and is a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts, with sailing, sea kayaking, wind surfing and scuba diving all available. Beadnell Bay can truly be described as the jewel in Northumberland’s seaside crown. The traditional fishing port of Seahouses is a further 2 miles up the road, from where boat trips depart regularly to the nearby Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony. There are several charming tea rooms, quaint pubs and shops close by, as well as horse riding, fishing and a links golf course. A further 3 miles up the coastline is the picturesque village of Bamburgh, with its own dramatic fortress.
