You can also take a little train from the other side of town to the stunning waterfalls at Devil’s Bridge through the stunning scenery of Cwm Rheidol. Sandy beaches, boat trips for dolphin spotting or fishing, Rhayader’s red kite feeding station, excellent walking and bird watching, and mountain biking in the Cambrian Hills are all easily accessible.
