High Sides is a first floor two bedroom apartment, situated in the quiet and peaceful area of Hill Close, just a short stroll from the attractive village green and all amenities in Reeth in Swaledale. The apartment is well equipped and offers comfortable accommodation for up to three guests. A flight of steep steps externally lead up to the front door, with beautiful views across the dale. The welcoming apartment has a warm and cosy living room, well equipped kitchen with all modern appliances, and two bedrooms beautifully furnished with comfortable beds. A large garage provides parking for one medium sized car and also storage of bikes and other outdoor equipment. Further on street parking can be found nearby if needed. For the outdoor enthusiasts High Sides is a perfect base. The varied scenery provides miles of walks, both low-level, gentle strolls along the river and more challenging walks with high mountains and valleys lined with streams. There are endless footpaths enjoying the most spectacular scenery. Swaledale is also popular for both mountain and road biking with events being held throughout the year. The Dales Bike Centre is just down the road at Grinton and offers cycle hire. They also have an excellent café where you can enjoy a piece of cake before setting off on your ride. The historic town of Richmond, famous for its castle, Georgian theatre, and abundance of individual shops and tea rooms is around 30-minutes’ drive, and in the opposite direction is Barnard Castle, with its market, cafés, antique shops and famous Bowes Museum being around the same distance. The Forbidden Corner in Middleham is only 16 miles away in Wensleydale, and is hugely popular with families. A quirky venue with its labyrinth of underground caverns. Picturesque Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle are en-route with many other picture postcard villages as you pass through. At the end of a busy day exploring, High sides is within easy strolling distance of a selection of pubs and restaurants, A perfect way to relax and enjoy good local ales and traditional food. Although there is currently no Wi-Fi at the property, free Wi-Fi is available at the local village inn. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
