Living area: With wood burner, Freeview TV with Netfilx and DAB radio. Dining area. Kitchen area: With electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed. Bedroom 2: With single bed. Bedroom 3: With bunk bed and washing machine. Shower room: With walk-in shower, toilet and wooden floor.. Finished to a good standard Woodpecker Lodge is the ideal destination for families to enjoy a holiday full of fun and adventure. There is plenty to keep the whole family occupied while staying at Woodpecker Lodge. A short stroll will take you to Drummuir Farm Ice Cream where you can take your pick from over 30 different flavours of ice cream. The kids are kept entertained too with an outdoor play area. This corner of South West Scotland is truly beautiful from the Solway Coast to the lush inland forests and hills. There are many interesting visitor attractions within a stones throw of Woodpecker Lodge. Enjoy a day at Caerlaverock Wetland Centre, a spectacular 1400-acre wild reserve, just a few miles along the coast. Throughout the region there is supreme mountain biking, challenging hill walks and some of the darkest skies in the world, not to mention over 200 miles of stunning and dramatic coastline with secluded little bays and sandy beaches. The Royal Burgh town of Dumfries is a short drive away where there are many shops, pubs and restaurants, or the smaller market town of Castle Douglas, known as the Food Town where there are an excellent selection of foodie shops as well as some delightful little niche shops.
