Explore the wonders of the North York Moors National Park, where you will unearth miles of coast, countryside, nature and breath-taking scenery at every step. Take the heritage steam train on a truly memorable journey over the stunning moorland of the National Park from Pickering to the historical seaside town of Whitby. Visit the stately homes of Castle Howard or Sewerby Hall and Gardens. Or for nature lovers there are many nearby walking and cycling trails to choose from, including Dalby Forest. Alternatively, you can drive out to the coastal town of Scarborough only 10 minutes away, where you can explore the historic castle, wonder around the beautiful Japanese garden or soak up the sun at the beach. Further down the coast you have miles of golden sand stretching from Filey to Hunmanby Gap and Reighton Gap. The iconic light house at Flamborough and the RSPB nature reserve at Bempton Cliffs are well worth a visit where you can see nesting puffins and gannets. Beach 5 miles.
