The Barn is a detached property, adjacent to the owners home, which has been skilfully converted to a very good standard with a galleried bedroom overlooking the living area. The cottage benefits from underfloor heating on the ground floor and there is a cosy wood burner, perfect for those cooler evenings. The patio doors lead out to a pretty enclosed courtyard. The cottage is just 6½ miles from Scarborough and just a short drive from Filey and Flamborough Head. Inland there are the market towns of Pickering and Malton, both hosting busy market days once a week. Pickering is also home to the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway. Catch the steam train from Pickering to Whitby stopping off at Goathland, home to the popular TV programme Heartbeat. Yorkshire is famous for its stately homes and within a short drive you can visit Castle Howard, Sledmere House and Sewerby Hall. All of them are well worth a visit during your stay.
