If you can bear to tear yourself away from the site, you will find much to do and explore in the local area including the stunning North Norfolk Coastline. In just under half an hour, you can be in beautiful Wells-next-the-Sea, with a narrow gauge railway leading down to its wide sandy beach, boasting painted beach huts and a lovely mix of traditional and artisan seaside shops, cafés and restaurants. Alternatively, head to Blakeney Quay and enjoy a spot of crabbing, or head east to Cromer with its famous pier, Edwardian seafront and Amazonia Zoo. Nature lovers will enjoy trips to Pensthorpe, Sheringham Park, Cley Marshes and indeed the famous Norfolk Broads. History buffs will enjoy exploring Blickling Hall, the Sandringham and Holkham Estates, North Norfolk Railway, the Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections and a host of small museums.
