Our unique hut offers a special experience, set in beautiful Sussex countryside directly overlooking a peaceful lake.. 4 steps to entrance. All on the ground floor. Open plan living space. Living area: With wood burner. Dining area. Kitchen area: With mini electric oven/toaster, 2-ring gas hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. Bedroom area: With double bed and 28" Freeview TV with DVD player. 2 steps to... External shower room: With walk-in shower, toilet and heated towel rail, 100 yards away. Portaloo: enclosed with lighting, a few steps from hut entrance.. Electric background heating, electricity, gas, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Welcome pack. Access to washing machine, wash up area, 30 acres farm and woodland (shared with other properties on site). Outdoor seating area with garden furniture, firepit and barbecue. 2 dogs welcome (at cost) to be kept on lead at all times, except in designated run areas. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: No children. There are deep lakes in the grounds nearby.. Whether you are looking for a romantic break away or just to enjoy the tranquillity of your very own opulent cosy shepherd’s hut, Hastingford Fishery (ref UK32407, ref UK32439 or ref UK32441) is the place to take your staycation. In addition to the 2 fishing lakes, there is also a spring fed wild swimming lake at the top of the property that is bathed in sunshine for the whole day, with superb views of the South Downs. You may well see foxes, badgers, rabbits, buzzards, ducks, geese, moorhens, kingfishers, owls and woodpeckers during your stay. Set in some of the most stunning Sussex countryside, as soon as you step out onto your balcony, you will be overlooking the original fishing lake. This has large common and mirror carp plus perch and grass carp. Just up the hill, there is a newer and larger lake, stocked with common and mirror carp, golden and blue orfe, green and golden tench, chub, roach, rudd and gudgeon. Fishing (charge applies) is available during the day between 8am- 8pm/dusk, and at night between 8pm/dusk- 8am. All anglers must show a current fishing licence and abide by the rules which can be provided upon booking or by request. For ramblers and hikers, there are several public footpaths nearby leading to Buxted, Rotherfield and beyond. Pick up can be arranged to/from station if required, for a small fee by prior arrangement with the owner and there is a comprehensive area info booklet in hut. These shepherd’s huts have been individually crafted and have all the modern conveniences you would expect with the addition of a wood burner for those chilly nights. Please be aware that the phone signal is not very good for some networks except at the top of the hill. Beach 23 miles. Shop and restaurants 2½ miles, pub 2 miles.
